Feeds

A feed is one file for one destination: a channel, a country and, with Pro, a language or currency. The free plugin lets you create up to three; Pro removes the limit and adds one-click duplication, so a second market starts from the first feed’s mapping and filters. Every feed keeps its own format, schedule and URL.

Channels

Each channel ships with its own specification: required and optional attributes, allowed values, defaults and a preview styled like the destination. The free plugin registers Google Shopping and Meta. Pro adds the rest of the Google family, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, X, Microsoft Bing, Bing Promotions, Amazon, Merkandi, Vivino, OpenAI and a custom feed you define yourself.

Formats

Every writer streams to disk in batches and can resume mid-file. XML (RSS 2.0) and CSV cover Google Merchant Center and Meta and are free. TSV, TXT and JSON are what Amazon, Microsoft Bing, Google Local Inventory and OpenAI ask for, and come with Pro.

Product Support

Simple products export as one item. Variable products become one item per variation, each carrying the parent’s item_group_id and inheriting any value the variation does not set itself. Pro adds grouped products and external/affiliate products, which link to the vendor’s page instead of yours.

Google Attributes

The Google Shopping channel maps the full core attribute set with a smart default for each: id, title, description, link, image links, price and sale price, availability, brand, GTIN/MPN, condition and Google product category. Pro adds custom_label_0–4 for campaign segmentation and the advanced shipping and tax attributes: handling and transit times, carrier shipping, dimensions and ships-from country.

Filtering

Filters decide which products enter a feed. Coarse filters (categories, stock status, product type) run in SQL; value-dependent ones run per product after prices are resolved. Pro adds tags, brands, price range, SKU contains, featured-only and on-sale-only. Unpublished and password-protected products are never exported.

Attribute Mapping

Every channel attribute is resolved from a source you choose: a standard WooCommerce field, a product attribute or a static value. Pro opens up any registered taxonomy, post meta (custom fields), ACF fields including relationship and taxonomy fields, and a fallback source used when the first one is empty.

Google Taxonomy

Google, and the channels that reuse its taxonomy (Meta, Bing, Pinterest), want each product placed in Google’s own category tree. The plugin bundles the full taxonomy so mapping works offline, suggests a match for each store category and can auto-map them all in one click. With Pro, child categories without their own match inherit the nearest mapped parent.

Feed Generation

Generation is a resumable state machine. Products are read in keyset-paginated batches of 200, mapped and appended to a temporary file, and every step runs inside a time budget derived from your server’s execution limit. If a step is cut off by a timeout, a fatal error or a restart, the next one resumes from the saved position. Both versions batch, show live progress and run in the background through Action Scheduler; Pro adds hourly and twice-daily schedules.

Feed URLs

Each feed gets a permanent URL, /apfw-feed/{token}.xml, whose token never changes when you edit, regenerate, upgrade or downgrade. Files are served with the right content type, Last-Modified and ETag headers, 304 responses, Range support and pre-compression. Pro adds private feeds that require a secret key you can rotate per feed.

Multi-language / Currency

Pro detects the currency and translation plugins you already run (WCML, Aelia, WOOCS and CURCY for currency; WPML and Polylang for language) and offers per-feed choices only when a provider is installed, so a feed never relabels unconverted prices. The whole generation pass runs in the feed’s language, so titles, descriptions, attributes and permalinks come out translated.
